Welcome To Sandhills Chapter
Website!!
Welcome to the
Sandhills Chapter webpage! We are the local chapter of the American
Society of Military Comptrollers that represents financial managers working
on Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. ASMC is a professional organization
of financial managers in the Department of Defense and the Coast Guard. ASMC’s
National Headquarters is in the Washington, D.C. area.
|
The purpose of the
Society is to:
-
Promote the education and training of its members.
-
Sponsor research in military comptrollership subjects and
publishing the results as such.
-
Encourage a free exchange of techniques, approaches, and
problem solving.
-
Provide communication facilities to keep members and other
interested individuals abreast of current events in military
comptrollership which can be beneficial to them, their
employing organizations, and the public.
The Sandhills
Chapter was founded in 1974 and we are celebrating more than 35
years of Comptrollership. Sandhills chapter membership is very
diverse since there are so many different units on Fort

We think
Sandhills Chapter is very special and invite you to join us to learn, to
serve and to network. Our monthly meeting is normally the second
Tuesday of the month and each meeting is announced in the local and base
newspapers, throughout the membership and on this web page. Members and
visitors are always welcome. We are a very active Five Star chapter; our
activities include an annual Mini-Professional Development Institute,
participation in the Fayetteville Adopt-a-Street program and sponsorship of
a number of community outreach programs such as collection and distribution
of clothing to homeless shelters in the Fayetteville area, and collection
and distribution of supplies to our local schools. We also award a number of
scholarships annually to students and military personnel pursuing higher
education.
We think Sandhills Chapter is very special and invite you to join us to
learn, to serve and to network.
